Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

EPYC failure at Intel

Competition has arrived from AMDs longtime tormentor. Even in a declining market AMD will see booming sales as all the server buyers are so fed up at how Intel has treated and screwed them.

TSMC and Samsung have seized the manufacturing and technology lead and with ARMy volume will pull ahead with scale only BK mas----atjng fantasy can imagine.

Intel will need to cut price on big dies and low yield 10nm into lower total volume.

How to protect the stock, big ACTs baby!

Already see the cuts and more are coming

Get ready for a Qualcomm-sized ripoff at Intel. Fire the CEO, bring a new CEO, give him a $100M "retention bonus" to keep him from jumping ship to AMD, lay off 1000 employees just to pay for his bonus in the first year ... result ... no change ... none at all ...

I hope intel pulls it together but see no hope that they can. For the last 5 years, all decisions have been cringeworthy.

We've missed too many technology waves. Hope isn't enough. Trust and morale are gone. Ask Uber what a bad culture can do to their future.

OP sounds very excited. What do you have to gain from seeing people losing their jobs? If you were a victim of the previous ACT, you should actually root for Intel to become exceedingly successful so that it will hire more workers in the community. If a lot more people get laid off, then competition at the job market will get more fierce and home prices will go down. Everyone, including you, suffers. If you work for an Intel competitor, you would actually want Intel to not layoff anyone even if sales are declining. This ensures Intel's profit will decline even faster and the company will go out of business even sooner.
