Anyone? Seems to have been largely overblown, no?

See http://hpagediscriminationinvestigation.com/ and supporting links there, for starters, for you folks who have been laid off... Because HPE discriminates against older folks!

I got the shoe! May 1, 2017... 58 years old, employed by HP/HPE for 34 years, 4 months and 1 day. Solid employee, good reviews, did my job+ and, did it well. I know of at least 8 others in my group who were over the age of 50 and and one who was under 30 who also got WFR'ed.

Hiring spree only in Costa Rica. Agree about age discrimination. 20+ ArcSight layoff 6/5th 95% 40 and over and 20% in 50s and 60s. Meg discrimination is based on 1) USA non-H1B 2) age 40 and over and 3) Nationality.

My favorite part about the WFR was the two videos my husband had to watch, one by the CEO, one by line boss assuring folks that contractors would go 1st. 23 years and im sure the contractors will help him pack his boxes.

Whomever says that there's a hiring spree is lying, the entire team in my territory was WFRed. Like one day 14 people

Got laid off on Monday also after 35+ years. Age discrimination is definitely

In play. Considering legal action.

Not overblown. In the HPE Software group, the estimation is somewhere between 25% and 40% were impacted by the workforce reduction effective 6/16/17.

To Meg Whitman that replied a few replies below with

"Rumors , largely untrue. HPE on hiring spree..."

These are not rumors they are fact the only people HPE are bringing on nowadays are college hires and H1B1 people to replace the aging workforce .. you should be ashamed of yourself and be brought in front of a judge by your heel straps to face your lawlessness .. if not here you'll get it in another life..

Was told 20 people from the Southboro (old Autonomy) was let go last week. All Engineers and all in one group. I don't know the group though.

I got the call from my boss mid-morning - 6/30 is last day. Package is decent EXCEPT that severance pay has been dramatically reduced from previous packages. No whining here because I'm too proud to do it. Next?

As an ex CE for many years, all I can say is that I am glad Meg Whitman is married to a brain surgeon. She needs one.

"CE's are getting hit hard. At least 4 in our group today."

I sure wish that it was the CEO not the CE's!!
