Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

Q2 2017 Schlumberger Earnings Conference Call on 07/21/17 at 8:30am

I am so excited to hear from Paal, Simon(s), and Patrick again! Last time, Paal told us to think new and act new. Before that, he said we are sitting on a highly-compressed coiled spring. What do you all expect to hear from them this time?

We're 10k employees below what 280k per an employee revenue would be for a year.

When there was busy operation worldwide and oil was at 80, revenue per employee was 280k and layoffs started.

There is no much operation and oil isnt 80 anymore and operators contractual obligations are ending.

If we are not earning 280k individually forncompany, we are considered waste.

No matter what pk says he will do his best to avoid lawsuit from investors, so expect layoffs for next few years.

Spring turned into a plug and we all get one to sit on. At least that seems to be what management is waiting on, and perfectly willing to do along with more of the blue kool-aid.
