Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Will HPE ever get proper management?

HPE will continue to struggle until major changes are made at the Sr. level. Too many Sr. managers who don't understand the business they are managing. They in turn hire others who have no clue...and so on. Hiring is based on friendships and politics instead of background and achievement. WFR's happen with no collaboration or communication with customers. You couldn't make the stuff I've seen up...it would be funny if so many people weren't impacted.

Anybody over 40 is at risk...

And layoffs continue! Too sad. Real families being effected.

You are so right, HPE and HP (prior to HPE) have been mismanaged at almost every mgm.t level since decades.

I have been there with a group of good people for many years, more than 25 years, we got aquired by Fiorina at the time, she like all the others, that followed in Senior mgmt. ( including Meg.) had no clue about the business. Solutions for HP/HPE have always been HW based, they never understood that state of the art industry focused solutions are key, for success, not hw-platforms.

I have seen hunderts of millions of US$ gone down the drain, loosing global and major accounts, which have been build up by good people over many years befor, but mgm.t did not even bother to make an effort to understand the customer issues, or talk to their own people. HP/HPE mgm.t has never understood what specific industry segments needed in terms of solutions. I/we had to shield off hp managers from customers visits in order to prevent even more damage to key customers. Very sad and not widely know in the public.

HP managent never understood that credibility at a customers had to be earned with continuity and trust between people. There is so much to tell but who has ever listend in HP Senior mgm.t, they did not even bother to listen when told that certain steps will result in significant revenue and customer losses ! Just unreal, but it is real and still going on !!

"Hiring is based on friendships and politics".

So what else is new? Trump just appointed an event planner from his pre-presidency days to be the new head of HUD.

We should be calling ourselves HPE PointLess instead of PointNext.
