Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Unofficial official layoff report 6/18

Looks like another 500 laid off this past week in addition to 500 last week and 2,500 the week of 6/1, so a total of 3,500 so far this fiscal year FY18

South America and Mexico is not where the jobs are going, think India and Eastern Europe

I'm glad because we need to grow in S. American and Mexico. Timezones are better and work harder.

@NQloUM1-1jgm, if you're looking for a new job in CX, we all know what's happening at Oracle and know several people affected. You don't need a source.

Real companies run by real people make public announcements about layoffs; failing companies run by self serving, greedy, egotistical A:holes do not. Oracle falls in the latter category

Oracle had an aversion to making anything like this public. You could see if there is a WARN notice for your state or other states for that matter, some states are better at making the WARN INFO public than others. There was also an article on the San Jose Mercury I believe a little while back. Good luck !

That's a lot of people. I'm looking for support for this (documented source?) so I can quote it during my interviews for a new job. I was one of the ones laid off on 6/1 in CX.
