A lot of my colleagues was given 3 months to find a new internal job. Problem is most of the internal req are frozen now.
So its either they took the 3 months pay now, or hope to find a new internal job within 3 months.

After 3 months there is 2 months base + based on number of years. Very good deal by any standard. Most companies don't pay a penny.

Most companies will only give you slaves 1 month severance. Be thankful we are so generous, we might not be so in the future.
sounds about right. using redeployment to mask the layoff. Notice how silent it's been in the market about this round? Intel can't afford taking another hit to its stock. Things are already bad enough and it's only going to get worse.
