Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Strange, according to Indeed platform DXC is looking for more then 1000 new employees in US

Strange,

when you look at DXC on indeed - and look at jobs, there are so many jobs published. Probably because it looks good for the outside?

https://www.indeed.com/cmp/Dxc-Technology/jobs?start=36#cmp-menu-container

I also find it very strange that there are also such good reviews on the working environment (amongs realistic bad ones). While we all know that it is not immediately the best place to work at the moment? How can anyone still give 5 stars as working environment?

DXC branding is probably doing a lot of effort to make the company still look good?

Lol DXC doesn't want employees in the USA at all. Not even h1b. Much cheaper to have them elsewhere.

Try another page on this site.

It's been alluded to in many meetings at DXC that we are part of a dinosaur that is awaiting the inevitable crash of extinction. The execs are tying to make a much money off this disaster as possible, while telling you that things will improve. The rise of Amazon, Microsoft and Google, two of which did not exist 15 years ago came in a kicked HP's entitled cronies in the crotch. DXC is a last ditch attempt, run by the male equivalent of Meg and Marissa from Yahoo, to picking the bones dry before the meat is putrid. I do hope the execs actually read this site, or maybe they are just in denial or just think this these are posts of rambling jaded ex/employees. To that I say, you vastly underestimate your talent and thanks to VCs off Sand Hill you are about to be dealt another blow from your "inventory". Thanks for at least teaching us how not to run a business!

We had 3 people walk out of our department. Took forever to get approval to hire more. Our positions are being advertised with completely different job titles (offering higher salary?) than what we are titled. I asked if our job titles would change. No answer. The recruiter is also offering false info- commission, opportunity for advancement, no micro managing. LIES! Look out Newbies!!! Welcome to Hell.

Or these are hired resources - or an agency who s role is to fill in with excellent comments.

I can not believe these are normal resources. I am looking for the one resource (not top management) who is till happy to work for DXC - it s a challenge!

"How can anyone still give 5 stars as working environment?"

A number of answers, first two that come to mind. One) they are "brain dead", two) they are DXC executives or three) they are both of the above.

They should be frank and openly say:

  • need to be on #h1b

  • need to be low paid

  • need to be indentured

  • need to be obedient

  • no specific work quality requirements

  • strong preference for Indian resources

  • strong preference for resources with family already working here

  • needs to be under 35

  • needs to be able to work 80 hr / wk

  • needs to be able to work OT w/out requesting OT pay

  • needs to be opinion-less

amazing! - I was not aware of this H-1B rule. In most of the countries in Europe nothing is known yet, but we feel the ackx hanging above our heads.

The long list of "Basic Qualifications" for each job fit only one person on the planet. H-1B requires that a company post jobs to prove that there are no qualified US candidates.
