I don't know why people believe all the rumors on here about SPVSS (aka SPAPPS). Personally I prefer to think that our SVP and senior leadership are decent, competent people that are doing their best to lead us all to a good and successful future.
IVP is selling really well. The customers love it and they're queuing up to buy more features. It's so good now that it practically deploys itself.
All this stuff about shipping hundreds of people out to L&T - why, that's just silly. Why on earth would anyone do that when everything is booming and growing so quickly?
There's no way that our SVPs would be giving such confident, positive messages if they were actually in such bad trouble. If you look at the number of people that were let go in North America it was actually quite small.
The rumors about externalising loads of people from security are clearly silly. There's no way a competent SVP would do that - think of the damage it would do to the Cisco reputation with customers if they found out that the only people even allowed to read mission-critical code didn't even work for Cisco any more! Obviously fantasy.
And closing the French office? Why would anyone do that? Everyone knows that the design department and the French work ethic are second to none. It would be like cutting your own brain out.
So I prefer to believe that it's all a load of noise meaning nothing.
But the most important thing is that we all believe in our leadership. Publishing obviously fake transcripts and salaries is just troublemaking. No one thinks that the L1s/L2s would be so clearly dysfunctional - it must have taken ages to make all that up.
Y'all should be excited at the great future in front of us - SP and video are more important than ever and personally I consider it a privilege to work with the dedicated Cisco sales team.
