This has been going around... anyone know if there's any truth to any of it?
You won't read it in any of the canned press releases and agreement 'highlights' but NorCal local reporting that PTs are getting one time 55 cent bump to take over 70% of the current work load of Core I&M- company got all the scope of work changes they requested- Pots repair including business, port cuts, pair cuts, Fiber installation, bridge tap devices etc- in addition, all Direct TV techs can now do that work as well- essentially Splicers left with only Pots and Fiber cable maintenance jobs- if this passes, they are estimating Splicer surplus conditions within 2 years
Vote NO ON THIS CONTRACT. Or many of us will be looking for a job shortly
