This year alone Cisco has laid off more then 7000 people. There is no doubt a another huge number is just around the corner in August.
If you're a revenue quota carrier, this is probably the worst tech company to work for at the moment. Plenty are growing significantly, Cisco is not and won't anytime soon if at all.
If you're a talented engineer, why are you working for this company? You can work anywhere if you have the right skills.
If you're a VP, you might as well stay.
