Any job cuts over there at Oracle Digital (OD)?

when you are not part of the good old boys network, it doesn't matter if you are doing your job, making a difference, or if you realize that you are in Rome or Timbuktu.
you are not in school anymore, thre's no deans list, companies are not meritocracies, politics come into play at all levels.
in good times, if you are good at your job, you keep your job and maybe even a bonus and a promo.
when the sh-- hits the fan, and if you are not one of network, tag, ur it!
grow up and smell the coffee, you might be employed long enough to be age discriminated.
Political? When in Rome. Do your job, know your business, make a difference.
Hw: Selling HW was their first problem; great a few years ago...
SMB Tech: Some solid talent in SmB, just very few account per head.
For the record, a lot of people who thought they were out, still have gigs.
Not the culling the negative Nancy's on this site were hoping for.
Stop saying that low performers were laid off. That is not true.
Hundreds of people were laid off in OD, some who had obtained 50% to 100% of their number in certain organizations (mostly HW)
Other departments with people who did no deals all year were spared (SMB Tech)
It was political. It was calculated based on asskissing, not "performance".
