Oracle is a joke. Customers are being bombarded by a dozen different reps pushing solutions, which, in most cases, aren't adding value to their organization. Competition is winning with better, less expensive offerings. We're expected to sell transactionally, in lieu of building customer relationships. Accounts are changed every fiscal year.
Customers now have new reps. Number of accounts are trimmed down while quotas in that same market space are doubled. Can't cut it? Tough sh--. We're bussing in college new hires by the hundreds. They're so happy to get a job with a 'big name' company out of school, they'll take a lesser base pay, and put up with more b---s--- than a professional hire will. Why wouldn't they?
They have no professional frame of reference to know what a sh-- company this is. Leadership at all levels is the worst I've seen at any technology company I've been with. They'll 'rah rah Oracle' until they're blue in the f---ing face. 'Q4 is the BEST TIME to be at Oracle!'
No, Q4 f---ing s---s, because your SaaS offerings are sh-- and Q4 is only lucrative to people selling on-prem licenses. This is depressing as sh--. I'm going to have a beer now.
