After 4Q16 retail results the writing was on the wall. - I had a chance of going into retail management after a call center lay off and I'm relieved I didn't because it's clear there's going to be a huge RIF in that channel. I've heard April 6th mentioned a few places here but I have no concrete facts on that.

2Q17 results are scheduled to be released on 4/20. If there is another RIF in the near future I'm guessing it will happen soon. It gives the news time to get around the street. Vz could also use the RIF to help polish what is expected to be a turd of a quarterly result. Shareholders love a good force reduction.
The NEM winner Circle was a bust. You can feel the tension in the air that something is going down next week in the company. No one is having fun.
Nothing's been confirmed until the axe drops. This is a pretty likely assumption
