Well, after four years of service, dedication, working during my vacations, putting in extra hours every week, dealing with an incompetent People Leader...I as rewarded with getting laid off.
And I could not be happier...
I believe the smugness of the new organization was clearly demonstrated by having VP level leadership determine how their organizations would be structured (including the people in it)...yes folks, the "Peter Principal" is alive and well in the new company...
To those left to continue on, your purgatory may end once the next round of layoffs (mid summer) start to take hold...
To those who may never be laid off, I feel sorry that you will work in an environment where everyday you will question whether this is your last.....
On to the next great adventure
