Maybe coincidental....having a death in the family and resigning (FMLA)?? But is he trying to garner sympathy or make it look like he's not bailing for obvious reasons (sinking ship-image issues)...either he wants to get out (had enough) or the new owners want him gone and he is taking his parachute. Sympathy two way street, do UOP executives have sympathy for their employees? The buy out deal catered to the high executives getting their parachute when severance packages were not a standard. You can find sympathy in the dictionary.
