Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Well I guess this is one way of trying to drive sales raise your retail prices on your gift and apparel item, Brilliant idea senior management!

Many customers already think our merchandise is overpriced. This is a guaranteed way to decrease sales. Wake up folks lots of competition and better pricing on the internet. The way of the future.

Our clothing is awful,same styles and colors over and over again. Never anything new. Students don't want our merchandise.

I would to know why the price increases. Had 6 students come in to shop, they looked at the prices & left. Wasn't there suppose to be a big sale soon?

Follett has never been able to effectively compete with other retailers. We only succeed with student lock-in and then we sock it to them and gouge them. Follett has closed almost every single off campus store they have ever operated.
