True. Sears was in such bad shape that a newly-out-of-bankruptcy KMart bought them and assumed the name. Everyone knew then it was a huge joke. Any sane businessman would have thrown in the towel a long, long time ago.

Folks, sears was in trouble long before Mr. Lampert took the helm. When he took the controls the plane was in a nosedive and about to hit the ground, but thanks to his expert leadership, exemplary skill, and a little bit of luck he has pulled the plane out of the nose dive and we are flying level again.
The only way we can gain altitude is if we all work hard. Do less with more. Give it our all. Fight the good fight.

Sears real estate ain't worth nothing. Who will buy it? Shopping malls are dying. Eddie has sacrificed a lot of wealth by sticking around and you ingrateful people are too stubborn to see that. Eddie is the best friend we have. Has he made mistakes? Sure a few, but even Jesus made mistakes, no one's perfect.
