I agree but in that case the company should have concentrated on keeping most of the LP folks intact as they were already used to running lean rather than turfing the majority and instead using MP folks that were used to pretty much getting whatever the wanted in terms of resources. Now everyone needs to pay the piper.

What you are experiencing is the fallout from many years of "checkbook problem solving."
Whenever a problem arose, they just threw money at it, as did many producers. Pay an unskilled 25 year old 100K to swing a hammer? Sure! Just get him here today so we can get this project done by week's end.
That kind of nonsense going on at every level for years, is why Enbridge and others are forced to be ruthless now.
