It was just a regular ol finance update! They must read this site though because within 10 min of the original post here, a correction came out with finance update in the title.
SO what happened?
Free Willy!
That's it people, "quit the rumors". It's time out if you don't!
"quit the rumors" otherwise you'll be abused and fired
"quit the rumors" because it damages productivity
"quit the rumors" because it runs counter to follett values.
Because all these things are the status quo and there are imbeciles who will tell you to quit the rumors, quit follett. There is no reason to stay.
How do you think they lay off associates in the field? Go to each store face to face? 😝 RM sit in their offices & go down their list via phone calls. Nothing new out here, no nicey-nicey.
Advice to Follett leadership: Mysterious meetings without a clear subject makes all of your employees worry. If you just put Financial Review in the subject line there would be no speculation.
Actually they laid off my whole department last Feb. Decision making from Follett leaders baffles everyone.
It is to go over the financials
They had a meeting of Managers weeks ago now they are telling all of finance.
Nothing to do with laying off people so quit the rumors.
that is a ridiculous speculation that the entire finance dept would be laid off during a conference call.
Letting people go by phone isn't new to Follett. They have laid many good people off this way. Wouldn't surprise me one bit to see them let the entire department go via conference call. It will probably be some form of "if you are willing to relocate to B&T facilities we would like you to stay with us". You don't think they are going to keep both B&T and Follett accounting do you?
They are going to layoff employees via conference call. That would be a new low for Follett. They have screwed employees every other way, now they don't even need to face you to get rid of you.
It's a follett meeting. You have no idea what it's about. You've been asked to prepare for nothing. Likely your input won't be sought, either. Waste of time. Cluster.... Nothing changes.
Follett sold? Follett filing bankruptcy? Another SVPhired? Bonuses & raises for all?
The Oompa Loompa has come out of retirement and is taking FHEGGING finance. (haha you're welcome)
Sounds like a great way for them to announce to everyone at once that the department has been outsourced...
PT leave already?
