this time, our APAC team are not affected, but no one know if Oracle can survive from this massive layoffs, no one know when layoffs will happen in APAC area.
"Oracle has the wrong leadership guiding the ship" talk about the understatement of the Century. The three morons are running the business into the ground at record speed. It's like a jet with its nose pointed straight down and the engines going at full tilt. CRASH!
@1eou MH is a cheap operator. People want the cheapest servers and commodity components. That worked at HPE. The same model does not work in enterprise SW or enterprise cloud. It just doesn't. Oracle has the wrong leadership guiding the ship.

The fact that CGBU AND HSGBU people were laid off is a clear signal that oracle is looking to be a provider of commodity SaaS and other cloud products and no longer values deep industry expertise. That's a fundamental change and a clear notice to people who have expertise that their knowledge is no longer valued. Take note and start looking for an exit before they rig you

Can confirm layoffs in North Carolina at former Tekelec office. 60 - 70% cuts in QA/DEV. Other departments had cuts as well. Had the surprise one-on-one mtg scheduled with boss at the last minute. The carnage had already started so I knew what was coming. Supposedly 100-125 people cut yesterday. Sounds like it was just as bad in Mass. yesterday. I don't see how CGBU can survive this kind of bloodbath. A lot of the people cut were top performers and the experience cannot be replaced. Good luck to everyone affected like me, better days will come now that we are free from the monster.

Oracle should get rid of Account Managers. I work for EBiz support and those account managers are a waste of space. They should fire them and hire a few more support engineers. Wouldn't that be nice.

I read that as healthcare benefits for the canned employees will end at the end of the day. Pretty normal, I think.
