I was told that I am to work 8:30-5:30 pm every day and if I leave "early", I have to get permission. They consider working 8-4:30 leaving early.. since when is working 8.5 hours early. Are we not paid for the 15 minute breaks?

SALARY they feel you work till the "job is done" and not a set 40 hours cause you are exempt employee. In other words we can slave labor you and increase job expectations over and over. I started 8 years ago and worked 8-430 since then. BUT let me tell you i have not in the past few years been able to get my lunch or breaks and meet these unrealistic expectations let alone have wellness of my own. My BP is up, ulcer is bad, gaining wt and now on two depression meds all thanks to HUMANA.
You should be getting paid lunch and paid break. It's illegal for that to not be available to you and they can get into big trouble. As far as flexing, our coach says it's a HAH policy that you can only flex an hour a week. Never checked HR on that though.
On the average, HCMs are working well over 9 hours a day, sometimes 10 hours, We were always told we can flex our hours for appointments etc. So far no change on that. Just noticing that so many of the newer assigned members are not answering their phones. It is hard; I feel like I have no quality of life during the week anymore.
More examples of inconsistencies between coaches and trying to squeeze every last drop of productivity out of you. Can you believe Humana is posting articles about employee Wellness? Hippocrits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It may depend on your department...I work 8-4:30, with two breaks and lunch
I am a salary employee, I've worked 8-4:30 or 8 -5 with a 30 min lunch. It was my understanding when I started 3 years ago that we could work any 8 hours between 8am and 8pm. Has this policy changed? Is there a policy about this? I don't understand why my hours are now being dictated by leadership. It defeats the flexibility of this job
If you are not salary, you should legally be paid overtime for working that schedule. Unless you are taking an hour lunch.
The way it seems they are not paying us for 15 minute breaks. I always found this odd, you have to work a 9 hour day. They are suppose to pay for the breaks.
