Anyone else hear rumors of layoffs coming in April?

I also was told to expect them the week of the 27th. :(
Exxon is in the process of creating 12,000 permanent jobs and 33,000 temporary jobs in the Gulf Coast Region. Hopefully with our new Republican Administration in place jobs in the O&G industry will start booming again opening up options for employees.
Agree. while I have no knowledge of when layoffs will occur, I would expect it to be either the week of the 20th or 27th. Before end of march so can report end of quarter impact.
I second the 3-4 weeks post merger comment. Majority of layoffs will happen this month so they can start the 2nd quarter clean
It was clearly stated during the "Day 1" meeting that a reduction will proceed within 3-4 weeks.
Is this company worth working for if layoffs are on a regular basis for the sake of the "stakeholders"? My friends were considering to apply some jobs at Enbridge and I could not really sugar coat the reality.
