WFR's create a slow death of a corporation. It hits at the core of the business and just takes over from there.

Will this ever end.? Its mystery is a thought on all employees minds.

It's true with all IT services company, the market growth is limited and Indian competition is high. Unless growth company, show me one company which values employees like companies 20-30 years ago.

Once you get a bad reputation on how you treat your workers it STICKS. Only desperate people would would for this company. Reputation for HP used to be high now its lower than low. Like the Auto's with top heavy management this company is just going south faster than i originally anticipated. Good Luck. Glad i am out of that mess.

When you start to fire indiscriminately based on numbers you lose your workforce; motivation, desire, pride in work/ownership, etc.. all go down the tubes, there is no way to ever recover that. It impacts everyone in the company, whatever culture that may have existed is gone, as an employee you become an observer rather than a stakeholder, why get emotionally involved in something that is going to end badly.

No, it won't. Nefkens said so on last week's All Hands call. There will continue to hire, and fire, on a quarterly basis. It becomes a game of numbers, skills and location.
