Depends on where you see yourself. If you're young, athletic and look reasonable then consider buying a jet ski and hiring it out on hotel beaches in Florida / Caribbean. If you're fat, ugly and can't swim then forget it.
Look outside O&G. If you have a clean history there are a lot of openings in Law Engorcement. They like oilfield guys because they know the long hours and changing shifts carry over. If your set on engineering I would try getting on with a class 1 railway.
Go and flip burgers or shine shoes boy the world is your oyster.
Anyone worked for D&M would be useless outside of SLB, so go find a f---ing job in McD...
Midland area hiring a lot of CDL truck drivers around $17 an hour w/ unlimited hours each week and not time off.
Look outside the oilfield. Make sure you have a real person spell check your resume. You were laid off, you were not layed off. There is no such thing as layed off.
