It is possible we should have been given a 60 day notice and not 30 days.

Well they let the call centers know in Oct. 2016 they would be closing in Jan 2017 or march 2017 so given more than 30 or 60 days. In 2015, 5-8K or more impacted with the 2 Rifs, then closed call centers and impacted probably close to that many more for 2017, as Op's and other positions that sat in centers were impacted as well. I was around for 23 years and this stuff is norm now. It seems as the sales folks just were not aware that this as been going on for years both wireline and wireless. I know someone who has been thru this 4x since 2013 and just keeps going for and taking different jobs to stay. This is norm now and is never going to change.
When the layoffs occurred Q4 2015 everyone was given 60 days. I am trying to figure out the difference if it is based on each individual location.
During the last few years when Verizon laid off I never saw it in the WARN notices for any state. I always wondered about that.
Note all the language about "single site" Sounds like a lot of the layoffs were from stores, with (I assume) less than 50 RIFd in each one
At least a 100 in California. But it does not show up on the California WARN at all.
