Several of these layoffs were scheduled to happen in January and it didn't go as planned. Verizon will continue to make job cuts but they aren't going to do it all at once. The back lash from employee posting is greater then they expected and reputation wise they can't afford to answer to all these job cuts or store closures.
Store closures are going to be transferred to indirect not overnight. This process is going to take time to make it go smoothly. Don't expect for your store to be safe if your in a mall location just because your not impacted Thursday. It will be a roll out period.
RSS position cut will happen right away.
Floater will not be backfilled but they will transition these positions into GM roles. So if you are a underperforming GM and you have a floater in your district, be careful and step up your game so they don't take your store.
Other then that a lot of the other cuts are just speculation at this time.
