Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Senior Leadership is Unbelievable

If the goal of senior leadership is to make sure employees feel completely and continually vulnerable to layoffs, you have succeeded.

Is there any strategic vision here anymore? Perhaps the strategy is one slide that displays the continual sales decline, and the next one the layoffs that will be planned to make sure the family gets their dividend.

The employees who see layer upon layer of VPs hired without result or reason aren't clueless. The simply don't have any control. Those in control surround themselves with people like them. That echo chamber becomes enamored with each other's sounds. They figure out how to stay together by driving costs out of the layers beneath them. That layer is the workers. Workers aren't confused. Workers are prey, at follett.

The big picture is the economy is in a downward spiral. Henry Ford had a great business model. Pay the employee a livable wage so they can afford to buy his cars.

Corporations need to stop looking at their employees as a liability and need to start focusing on American Executives excessive salaries. Warren Buffett stated " No CEO is worth more than 100k a year".

Point being...no jobs...no discretionary income...no profits...no jobs. Like I said...a downward spiral.
