Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Are we overpaying CEOs in Tech industry? Should Meg give up her bonus in results of poor leadership and performance?

Have someone wonder why CEOs worth that much? If CEOs are founders, they deserve the high pay. If someone is hired as CEO, she/he is an employee. Why many companies torelate poor performance of CEOs, and still giving out big bonus to CEOs and executives while laying off thousands of people, and dropping employees' bonus to zero? MaybeI am still young to the corporate world, I just don't understand.

Meg should be entitled to one more bonus. 11 weeks severance pay.

"Meg's job is to increase shareholder value, which she has done. Why would she be fired? "

In the Carly days there was a proposal for a project called Information Appliances. A conference room was setup in building 4 of the page mill site. It was essentially everything that Apple did with the iPhone only it was 10 years earlier. Carly threw that out when she did the Compaq merger. Apple is now approaching $1 Trillion dollars in revenue on the iPhone (information appliance). Did Carly "increase shareholder value" with the Compaq purchase or did she squander many billions in profits with her incompetence? Isn't Meg doing the same thing?

She basically sold the company and made Wall Street share holders a little richer. That is in the short run, wait a little longer and the much hyped up stock value is going back to where it was. She's just a scam. The good CEOs don't sell companies, they give them new direction when it is needed. This old hag is ready for retirement.

Recent not-fake-news at HPE… You’ll be familiar with these if you work there, and have been paying attention.

Meg and cronies whine and cry to Congress, they need more H-1B visas, because, well, um, because, per the original intent of Congress, when H-1B was passed, HPE can simply NOT find ANY qualified American workers to fill these jobs! So HPE needs them now! This is at the same time as HPE basically black-lists laid-off employees, taking them off of the eligible-for-hire list, even if they were laid off simply because the whole division was shut down. (Count number one; Meg rates “Liar, liar, pantsuits on fire”.)

Next count: Meg and HPE say HPE has a non-discrimination policy. We all know about that, with respect to getting too old! (Except for Meg, obviously). See http://hpagediscriminationinvestigation.com/ …

Next count: Meg forces all of HPE management to LIE about forced-distribution performance reviews! The only truth-telling HPE management, on this point, is those who have been laid off!

I could go on, but those are the big ones…

Fake news of the day: HPE employees who complain about these things are just big whiners and crybabies, and should just go get a new job, uprooting their families and making their spouses find new jobs, if need be, so that Meg can keep right on lying, unperturbed. It will all get fixed, even if no one points out that “the Empress has no clothes”.

You are so right. If you don't like it, resign. Find a job somewhere else and save someone else's job that may not want to work somewhere else. So many people on this board p!$$ and moan about everything. I understand this is therapeutic for folks that have been let go. That's understandable. But for the rest, if you don't like the company, leave!

Meg's job is to increase shareholder value, which she has done. Why would she be fired? Her job isn't to make you happy or give you a job. You work for a publicly traded company, you come second to the investor. Stop being so naive.

"The likes of Meg (and Her buddies who feed Her ego and Her greedy fat paycheck) do NOT care about the peons"

Meg is a Billionaire so the pittance of $30 some odd million dollars means nothing to her. It's all about ego, nothing more.

We've been through many CEOs since the early dayz. All poor performers with exception to the founders of HP/Compaq. All the rest come in, s--- the juice from the company and exit. Golden parachutes have them landing on their feet a runnin...with millions from the corps.

The human mind is capable of infinite self-justification. The likes of Meg (and Her buddies who feed Her ego and Her greedy fat paycheck) do NOT care about the peons, and can give you hundreds or thousands of reasons why that is the good and right way to be. I believe that it is that simple... And, "there but for the grace of God, go I"... I am thankful that I have been protected from the so-called "slings and arrows of outrageous fortune". PS, do you think Meg is happy? Is Her next $1,000,000 going to make Her any happier? I don't think so! There are things FAR more important than money, status, and (visible, obvious) power!

Are you dreaming that is the farthest thought from her mind. Greed is good, it kills healthy corporations, produces no loyalty, creates animosity beyond ????, and it feeds her ego. She is a lost cause and i don't know how or why anyone would work for a person like that.
