While looking for a new job I've used the notion that: "don't work for anyone who is on thelayoff.com".
The amazing thing is that a LOT of the larger companies in the US are on thelayoff.com. Some, like IBM, are quite a bit more cavalier about how they treat their employees than HPE. This is starting to have the smell of the economy just prior to 2000 or 2008. Probably good to find a safe place to hunker down for a year or two until (if) it recovers. This seems to have been coming for the last year or two so it's not something that the current administration caused. Looks like all the crooks in Washington (both parties) are about to hand it to us again.
