Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Exponent is the new "wireless"... Technology is the next phase....

Verizon has a new company... Exponent. Did you know that? In the last 5 years, verizon has lagged in the transforming itself. Literally, Verizon was still hoping to get their main revenue from increasef wireless penetration. Due to their lack of insight, they were forced to cut corners and tried to acquire companies that could get them in a more content, cloud and overall technology space. Unfortunately, Verizon picks duds.... and they still do... thinking Yahoo could still be a beneficial acquisition.

Now, there is a new company. As wireline funded wireless. Wireless and wireline will now fund this new technology space. Ask yourselves.... is what you're doing in you current position preparing you and makes you adequate for consideration at Exponent? If not, please utilize their education benefits and diversify your background. Because layoffs will continue to occur; with no new revenue streams, the only way to appear profitable is to cut expenses... Salaries and Benefits are the highest. And Verizon has shown they could give a rat's tail about their human assets... their employees....

If you can, plan your future... Don't allow Verizon to minimize your hard work, education and self worth...

Aren't these the same leaders that ran VDMS into the ground? It's like they don't understand the definition of instanity.. "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting the same result"

Another stupid move by leadership. They want so badly to be a "cool tech company" and they are starting to realize they will never achieve that with the terrible dinosaur Verizon brand holding them back.

It's just like when Comcast launched Xfinity. Who are they fooling? Themselves.
