Granny knew what was coming and she was ready to bail out and join Hillary's crew, that is if Hillary had won. Unlucky for Granny, Hillary lost and now Granny has no place run or to hide.

Spot on!
Meg was planning on leaving after 5 years and her 5 years are up. I wonder if she's waiting until Nov 2017 - the two year mark after the split where HPE can now do what it wants without tax implications - to make her exit.
I agree with the OP. If Clinton would have won, Meg wouln't be here now. I can only imagine her face when Clinton lose. Her "strategic" roadmap for HPE turned out to be the fiasco that most of us foresaw. Unfortunately, there's no way back at this point.
You mean firing people who are part of the pension plan before they can retire -- and effectively capping their liability to the plan -- and replacing them with youngsters who are stuck in 401(k) plans and can't add to the pension liability?
Can't imagine why Scrooge McWhitman would get off on that.
Granny hides behind all the (figurative so far) "dead bodies" of the laid off... It keeps her safe from a few of the least-intelligent stockholders, at least. Is it enough to hide her from The Donald? Time will tell, but so far, The Donald is far more preoccupied with tweeting us His Wisdom (such as it may be... Or would it be more accurate to call it His Verbal Offal, the Offal of the Office of POTUS?) at 3 AM in the morning. Not that I want to see ANY POTUS micro-managing businesses in the first place! Too much cronyism already!
But... HOW does this ultra-elderly Granny get off on firing all the old geezers to replace them with youngsters, anyway?
