They can't make you work off the clock and they can't make you work passed your scheduled shift, that's through HR

Can't work off the clock... Please tell that to our managers who while not overtly asking you to work off the clock, hint strongly that it would be best for you and your future employment. An hour here a half hour there, 15 minutes at other times... it all adds up. Yeah, try to terminate me for working off the clock and then I will sue for writing me up for helping a customer and clocking out five minutes late and then the next week getting someone else to help a customer because I needed to clock out on time. Can't win

Can't work off the clock.....Can't work off the clock.....there are federal employment guidelines that prohibit it and you put your dear company at risk of a fine by doing so. You are lucky you weren't terminated. Just sayin.

Yeah, all I want is a piece of paper that tells me I'm doing a good job. I have actually tried to pay my electric bill with that. Unfortunately, they would not take it. What is wrong with them!! They cannot go on the fact that I actually work and do a good job and people recognize that I made a difference? How can someone not take my piece of paper as a good faith downpayment on a future date to pay?

Oh,wait, Now I understand. I worked hard, came in every day, never missed a day of work, worked without being on the clock, was always 100% on my training, did more than my job, took up the slack for others, trained new hires to do their job, changed my schedule to make our store successful, missed my kids birthdays, sports games, missed anniversaries, Thanksgiving, weekends. I was employee of the month for 9 months in 2 years, game changer two times, lead my store in sign up for SYW, credit cards, leases and extended warrenties, And I all for minimum wage and then when I had a chance to move up in the company and take on even more responsibility I applied and was accepted. I trained for three months at another store with a GEM. I drove and hour and a half one way to go to the other store. I had that job for exactly three months and four days before they let me go and told me I could apply at another Sears/Kmart near by for minimum wage. Ha,ha,ha--lawsuit coming. Already talked to a lawyer about a class action suit.
