Why are there so many leads/supervisors/managers in OSBU?

It's a relic from when we were a larger company. Once you're a "manager" you're untouchable. Each round of cuts guts the team until you have a bunch of "managers" collecting a paycheck and twittling their thumbs. If they're lucky each manager has SOMEONE under them on the org chart. SMH

Is this true in all the BUs?

Could BP just buy the whole thing? Or is the debt load too toxic?

OSBU how about all of them sjbu it goes; manager; supervisor; specialist; lead; then actual person who does the work. Lead I mean really why do you need specialist and leads if you are good management then they should all be specialized and able to lead themselves they are adults right?

ConocoPhillips: it's not just what we do, it's how we do it.
