There are AI already smarter than Paal....they don't take 27million bonus either.
Machines and robots only make sense in a market where the price of oil is very high, or there is no one to physically do the job. I've worked on several jobs that included "fully-automated" rigs. The progress was generally much slower for all time spent off bottom (not drilling). Several of these operators removed the automated systems and went back to manual operations because it was more efficient than the robots and machines. [Quicker and cost less money overall with actual people running equipment.]
Especially, the Norwegian cyborgs were programmed to annihilate human employees.
There is one Norwegian cyborg already - Paal.
Even the CEO and executives will be replaced with cyborgs.
