Word is that layoffs are now determined by current revenue. No assumption of growth. Layoffs in Software as well as areas that are part of the future HPE.

Seriously, though. The price is already agreed upon with MicroFocus. If they were to keep adding value (i.e. growth) they would need to charge MF more. They don't want to grow the business, only make it more valuable (lower costs => higher margin). Someone at the top seems to have forgotten that margin = revenue - costs. Or maybe it's simple math that's been forgotten...
