Both camera video and microphone audio are used.
The company needs consent to remotely monitor employees in their homes in the USA. They performed this illegally and have used in conjunction with security & HR to RIF American employees. This is one of many reasons they jump up & down to get the laptops back quickly. They want to purge the image and get the evidence off. They did this prior to rolling out employee agreements requiring signatures for monitoring and it is illegal!
company does not need consent to monitor you via video, that is a given. there is software that can even watch how many clicks or even movement of the mouse you make on your machine...yes supervisors or managers can request that the software be installed on the machine without an employee consenting or knowing that it has been installed
Not sure about audio, but if your computer is closed at your docking station, it can't see you.
Well, if you have approval for a work at home arrangement and your WiFi shows a connection at A fitness center all day, you could get an inquiry. But other than that, I really doubt anyone would use your pic to snoop on you without your cooperation of some form.
LOL you people are out of control...
I heard they use video & audio monitoring of employees working remotely at their place of residence without consent.
They can do as they wish, Companies like Verizon & AT&T have a Cheerleading Squad Nearly 100 Lobbyists
When did illegal ever stop corporate America? Never!
