So, before XMas I had to shortlist people to let go on our offshore dev teams, no less than 20% mandatory. So we did, delivering HPE XMas gift to many people in Bangalore, Manila and Cairo. We were betting on when somebody would do the same exercise on us in global governance and... this morning we've got the news: 20% cost to be saved over Feb and Mar... I've been offered furlough without guarantees on what's gonna be when Apr kicks in, some other just made redundant right away... Time to put my CV out real quick :(

@LcsuGTg-dgen no you'r dumb, they will fire us people and bring "gifts" / jobs to manila
@-dmdr - You aren't the sharpest tool in the shed. OP is talking about HPE firing more people in Manila and other sites
Yey work for manila
Hi all,
I know that's not going well with HPE. I am working for an outsource company for HPE and they told us that HPE is close to a bankrupt. They try to cut all the costs and want to get rid of the outsource companies. They sell less software and suppliers went to different companies. ALso the renewal contracts are less then before. They are also cutting in their own people.
The OP isn't entirely BSing. Our orange badge just had half of his contracted work slashed. There's no money to pay him the next quarter and so they aren't putting in a purchase order for a couple projects he was on.
As I said in the title, now contingent workers as well. I'm under Multiflex, that's why the furlough offer. HPE just told Multiflex to cut 20% of the cost, so they are doing so, trying to avoid cutting heads... not sure if they can get to that 20% this way, but sure they are trying, at least here in Ireland. BTW, I'm no HPE management, but close enough to have been asked to shortlist layoffs among offshore green badges. Now it's orange badges turn.
Some of the management are lost; They been there so long'' lost touch with reality
HP Furlough!!!! What???? LMAO... What HPE is offering you is the door... You should have had your resume out there along time ago... H(1B)PE is soon to be gone... I can't believe you sat on your A$$ over the holidays and did not look for a job... Better yet, accept the furlough... You can just sit there and wait for HPE to call you back... You sound like H(1B)PE management (ie: sloth), so good luck finding a job...
HPE does not offer furloughs. Why do you want to ruin the integrity of this website?
I call b s on your b s call.
