Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

As predicted the $35 price of DIRECTV NOW was just a promo and it ends Jan 9th. This is innovation?

As expected it has just been a smoke and mirrors act to convince regulators that the merger should go through. The car sales man does it again.

AT&T chief Randall Stephenson is a man in a hurry to get in the game, quite ingenious scheme. designed to attract attention and increase appeal Of a substandard product — witness the gamble he’s taking in dicing up channel packages at lower price points for the OTT DirecTV Now service, looking more and more like bust

So sad, It's also very possible that cord-cutters and cord-nevers are finding their entertainment elsewhere. That could mean that live-streaming cable, even at a very good price, has only a very limited audience. That would be bad news for DIRECTV NOW, Sling, and PlayStation Vue, but it's better for all three companies to know if they are going after some portion of the total cable audience or a very small subset of it.

The $35 cost was pretty clearly marked as a introductory price, so anyone surprised by it probably isn't too bright.

There is more than enough legitimate nonsense going on with AT&T to waste time and space because some moron can't read.
