First I want to note that I hope Trump does well as our President. I see many biased comments here about Trump and I understand why. I understand because many of our JOBS have been moved in favor of cheap foreign labor and cheaper foreign taxes and this has a major impact on our financial well being. There is one thing that we must not lose sight of, and that is the overall health of the American people. Whether it be family, jobs, our future, and our children.
I truly hope that Trump has a profound effect on HPE and companies like it who chose to outsource and offshore. That he will spark jobs to come back. But jobs are only as good if the company remains viable and healthy. Otherwise, if they go bankrupt, we still lose out. With that being said, I think that the stigma that FREE TRADE has created for us Americans, is and isn't somewhat misguided. For example, if we completely isolate China and completely pull out of trading with them, they are now set to develop and innovate just as we have been doing all along. That they can set the FREE TRADE rules with their other countries partnerships and expand influence with their technologies as ours will be isolated within our own borders. So I would say, yes, we need to take care of us Americans first, but as we do, there is nothing wrong with getting our unemployment healthy again and slowly allow some FAIR TRADE (not Free Trade), so that we remain relevant on the world stage. China now has an aggressive clean energy initiative and are now targeting fossil fuels in an effort to eliminate pollution and help with climate change. But WE are going backwards on renewable energy. We are promoting fossil fuels AND giving them huge subsidies while we contemplate on eliminating clean energy incentives. At some point, electric cars are going to be cheaper than our current combustion engine cars due to the advancement in technology. If China figures out a way to make their electric cars cheaper and we do not promote electric cars or renewable energy well here in the US, they will also surpass us in AUTO technology and we will find ourselves without international customers while all the rest of the world will just buy cars from China and India and not us. This is why Trump can have a huge impact on our futures economically. Now, I side with Trump on his anti-Free Trade economics simply because he wants to make it fair, not completely get rid of it. In regards to immigration, I agree that we have a problem with this issue. BUT I dont think IMMIGRATION has the level of impact the way FREE TRADE does. For one, there are at the highest estimates, about 20 million illegals that live here. About half of them are of working age. That would be 10 million. There are about 138 million non-farm jobs in America. If illegals took some of that, it would not be as much of an impact as over an estimated 123 million outsourced jobs or created foreign jobs by American companies. The point is that TRUMP should concentrate more on FAIR TRADE agendas and make if way more favorable to the U.S., as opposed to focusing so much time on immigration.
Now, although I hope Trump does well as our president, he worries the hell out of me. The last thing I would want is for him to be impeached. If that happens, then we are handing the government back to the establishment who are majority corrupt and not focused on the interests of the people. But TRUMP is walking a thin like with the ban, and his relationship with Russia. Only 1 month into office, and he is already raising eyebrows negatively. His favorably rating is the worst compared to past presidents in their first month in office. If he continues towards this path, dont think for a second that his own party wont turn on him only to favor Mike Pence who will play ball with the rest of the corrupt in office. TRUMP is on unstable ground, and he needs to be careful for HPE's and the rest of the people's sake.
