Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

What about halliburton giving a bit back to staff members by bringing in final salary pension

As we the working class get very little benefits what about repaying the staff so that when they retire they could spend better days in life with a much deserved final salary pension this would make up for pay rises that never seem forthcoming

HAL wanted baker because they were going down the pan and now they don't know what to do about the decline. 10 yrs from now HAL will only be a small player picking up scraps.

Dave and the boys could care less for the field hands. Halliburton is serious decline and upper management denial.

Halliburton will be 3rd or 4th from now on. To upper management experience and dedication from field personal means nothing

Do you really think that giving something back to the field hands has ever entered into the thinking of Uncle Dave, or his band of brothers?

And, just for the sake of argument, anyone who brought such a thing up, would be laughed out of the room.

When you work many years for the same company they should reward you for your service I agree with my colleagues suggestion on final salary pension which could be capped.

As for the uk retirement age is know set at 67 tell me how halliburton set retirement at 55 not for the normal working man it must be top management that can afford to do so

HAL could have given the final salary thing if they didn't blow it on the merger
