Thread regarding Anadarko Petroleum Corp. layoffs

Layoffs

Anyone know when the next round of layoffs will be? Surely the EC has run out of tears to mas----ate with from the first round.

Hopefully they will layoff the worthless, scumbag, self-aware managers that don't give a s**t about anyone or anything other than their bonuses which they most likely get to layoff good people(cost cutting). Wake-up BOD! You can't function or make a profit with less employees...Morons!

life after Anadarko has been great. Blood pressure is down, lost some weight and enjoying life. Job market is picking up and at least this time I can pick who I work for. No more bullying boss trying to instill their version of what work should be or what a core value is. Be picky in finding a new job if you can, then give it your best effort.

I was let go in the first round in Gillette, Wyoming. I was one of the 'lucky' ones as my package was an awesome one. I felt really bitter for many months but it finally sank in that it was not me personally but the business climate in total. I found some peace after that. One thing that has changed, I will never again drink the koolaid for any company - my virginity is gone on that one. I really bought in to the APC ethics. My being let go felt exactly like a divorce where your spouse kicks you to the curb... Found another job and all is well - my wish for all of you is the same!

Life after Anadarko is great as life goes on. I was laid off in March and I'm surviving just fine. Great job, learning a lot, and spending my time enjoying being outside and learning new skills at work. Sure, it was difficult as first, but I'm finding my groove and rolling with it. Life goes on, no worries. Glad to be where I'm at and moving forward. Just rolling along...

Hopefully the company comes to its senses and lays off one of the zillions of levels of middle management. You hear that BigAl? That's where the low hanging fruit is you goofy b*stard.

Good luck everyone. Life is better after Anadarko. It was hard watching the changes from what was the most admirable culture to the cutthroat, selfish, backstabbing culture that exists now. If you get let go, you will find success and happiness elsewhere!

If there are layoffs at least everyone kept their jobs for the last year, and that is saying something in these times. If anyone does get laid off there are more jobs to go after now compared to a year ago. So having that job for an extra year is a big thing. Good luck to all.

Quite obviously The Woodlands. There are only a handful of field assets now. Unless they allow low level management to intentinally screw over their field employees again with the review process.

Do you all know where the layoffs will be at? Field or woodlands?

Next round will be on March 9, 2017. There will be 3 weeks left to pack up your office until then. Severance will be not as generous as last year if any. Clean out your desk and files on your desktop/laptop.
