Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Obvious Statements

I'm really tired I seeing meaningless statements like

  1. Don't worry you won't have a job soon

  2. SHC is going to be bankrupt anyway

  3. Your points/gift cards will be worthless soon enough when the company shuts down

  4. Stop complaining about processes when the company will be gone soon

  5. So many other meaningless statements that are posted

Let's just post the facts or questions we have. What we actually know and not something that is totally worthless and does not contribute. We all know we won't have jobs soon enough. I for one don't need to hear it every other post.

Thank you

Everyone is going to post what they want to say, whether or not you think it is repetitive or not. You cannot tell people what to post or not to post. If you are tired of the statements that are repeated over and over, then just don't come to this site and read them anymore. Problem solved.

Are you saying that you enjoy sarcasm from fellow associates who are managers rather than stock quotes?

OP-- I agree with you because we all know that:

Don't worry you won't have a job soon

SHC is going to be bankrupt anyway

Your points/gift cards will be worthless soon enough when the company shuts down

Stop complaining about processes when the company will be gone soon

So many other meaningless statements that are posted

So yeah, stop that.

Don't listen those losers, OP. You were right. Great post. This board definitely needs to be cleaned up.

Look. ALL I was trying to say is that I am extreamly sick of seeing people post responses that say things like. "Who cares we are closing anyway" or "you won't have a job soon enough". How does that help anyone. Those types of responses are exteamly obvious and I'm tried of scrolling through and seeing it over and over again. We ALL know we will be unemployed, let's not keep rehashing that and instead post real information (if we have it) or questions. If you don't have anything constructive to add to a conversation that hasn't already been posted a million times, don't post. Unless I am the only one who is sick of seeing people basically say "who cares anyway" in response to questions. Sorry if this very basic request offended anyone

Why not advise someone to get their resume ready, apply to other places, or make a change?

Unless , of course, you're not done with them yet.

I think what the OP is referring to are the comments like "all the stores are closing anyway so who cares."

Those of us who follow these threads are all well aware that SHC will be gone soon. No need to say that and nothing else over and over and over again.

Actually none of those are meaningless statements. They are all probably excellent predictions. If you don't want to listen and do something to protect yourself, there's not much anyone can do for you.

Great post, @LQ9geqJ. I agree.

The problem is that we have additional people here posting that don't even work for SHC or were already let go and are just angry.

@LQ9geqJ-wzm, you're an idiot. They're saying that we should be posting ACTUAL information regarding closing such as "A memo was just sent out saying that there will be market level cuts on February 14th" and not just useless crap like "It doesn't matter. We're all closing anyways."

Well losing our jobs is kind of important so maybe we might like to talk about it? I for one have no one to talk to at work (my leaders are useless) or at home (I don't want to worry my partner) about what's happening at our insane company, so it's actually nice to come here and try to understand what's going on. Our jobs after all are quite important to our lives you know? Your comment sounds like something straight from the 'yes men' or HR team and is rude, who are you to dictate what's said here or not?
