No stip letters yet. Anyone know what's up? Safe to assume they're trying to figure out how to cut stip?
Assume no raises again this year?

They figured out how...
Raises this year , been 3 years, said I was at max(not) bigger stip than last year. Letters have been sent to managers already.
Leaders get access next week. Payout is Feb 24. You'll get an email about accessing the letter.
The range is how much you get paid and if you work a 35 hour work week or 40. Work mgmt employees would be range 7/ 35 hour and 40 hour work weeks. Accounting, red tags/rejects, meter errors, customer connections are all example of range 7 positions.
I guess it depends what business unit you are in. Range 4 to 10 are the typical in Enbridge Gas units. Dispatch would be range 8 , work mgmt range 7. Everyone in those ranges get the same stip, regardless how many years you have been there.
Sounds like Canada got letters and Houston didn't. I work in Houston and have no idea what this range 7/40 stuff is.
I see these "range 7/40 hour week" comments. Does Enbridge have groups of ranges and everyone in that range gets the same STIP amount (not based on salary, etc)? How many ranges are there?
STIP - letters came out already, range 8/ 40 hour work week employees , $9400
STIP letters came out for edg employees in Canada. $6890 if you are range 7/ 40 hours
They think they're clever not giving raises 2 years in a row. In the long term, stip costs less than a raise, and here's why: the stip is a one time payout. The raise carries forward year after year. So, by not giving a cost of living raise (let's say 2%) to a $70k employee, they save $1500 that year....and every year that the employee works there. Pays itself off in about 4.5 years with compounding, even if they resume giving raises. Now, by not giving raises two years in a row, they've offset half the stip payments to every current employee for as long as they work here.
The math only works if people stay though. Everything enbridge does operates on the belief that rank and file employees are homogenous, all are of basically equal value, and that people won't leave. That's how they justify spending so much money to calculate market dead center for salary.
And they're probably right too. For what enbridge pays...most of what they get is pure sh--, or painfully mediocre. So, replaceable they are.
stip on Friday? Isnt that the newvlayoff day? Hmmm
Bend over and take your screwing. STIPS and raises cut into Al's bonus.
From Spectra: Sorry to hear about the STIP robbery. A therapist friend of mine says there is a part of society that he labels "THE PIRATE CLASS" or maybe it is closer to Orwell's line from his book Animal Farm....... " all pigs.are equal.but some are more.equal than others"
Ive also heard that there isnt going to be raises again, for this year. All rumors for now, but it wouldnt surprise me.
Afterall, the usual song and dance is; "if you dont like it, someone else will".
Truly makes me wonder how this company moved up a spot for 'top 100 employers of canada'.
I believe STIP letters come out Friday. Hats what I heard. Heard there a very very small budget for raises. But who knows!
