Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Humana's Future

I am seriously concerned about this company's future.

Mike Frank has no vision, and is not able to inspire people to perform, so he is trying to scare results out of us. We get it, we're scared, it is just the standards are now unrealistic. I worked through 3 lunches this week to meet the basic metrics. I am looking for another job because this enviroment is intolerable.

Humana at Home is positioned to experience customer service along with the member. We all know how bad it is. The dropped calls, the endless transfers, the conflicting information, the poor connections.

Don't they realize we need to be the Apple Genius Bar and not Time Warner Cable.

In my humble opinion, MF is a failure; anytime you're laying off 500 people you have failed at your job. He is allowed to fail with no consequence but those of us who rock at our job and love our members, we pay the price of his failure.

At least I'll never have to sit through another one of those horrible all associate meetings. They put 12 geniuses in a room and none of them have any idea how audio works. Then MF does introductions which look more like ransom videos. I really expect everyone to face the camera and say "I'm OK, they are treating me well."

Then we have the pleasure of listening to this doofus mumble and stumble through a bunch of words that add up to nothing. If we're lucky, we at least get middle school power points to look at while he stumbles over his words like a newborn deer trying to walk. And lastly, we have the pleasure of QA in which MF turns any question into a way to spin his overblown hot air so that he can pound us some more. I really think I lose a little of my soul everytime.

Here MF, let me save you some time. You can cancel the next 10 associate meetings by just saying "we cant/won't tell you anything, you're not doing enough, work harder!" See how easy that was!

Not only is it illegal but can be a breech of HIPAA and you can receive a fine or be arrested. Be careful too because in a lot of cases your screens are being recording and coaches can watch everything you do at all times. Including when your screens don't move for a long time. If you are caught gathering any type of patient or member data that is considered HIPAA you can get in trouble. HIPAA can include names and addresses-any type of patient identifiers

Please don't take special members names and numbers! It's illegal!

Post ID: @LM0fRYX-1xgq You said it so wonderfully and Post ID: @LM0fRYX-1kly don't say you are " only" an RS! We need our RSes too! I agree so much about the poor upper management, the fear and terror being passed down from above, the lies about how we care about your well being but in the meantime even though you are salary, you have to sit and account for every second of your time or else!... yes work at home, that is the morsel , the treat dangled over us. Yes I have noticed slow sliding down to the pits since MF took over! When it was the other management it was so much better and happier! What can we do? If there was a way we all could feel safe about speaking out as a whole majority.... but I know so many are afraid to speak out, except here. I get it. Its scary all around. I just hope management is reading this site!! And taking it to heart, but I doubt they will care, honestly.

MF and others will someday receive their punishment. I am sure of it.

In the meantime, look after yourself and your families.

This is your wake up call to realize that selfishness is the greatest curse of the human race.

Take down special members addresses and phone numbers now so that you can continue relationships with them.

Unfortunately, I do not see change in future. I think metrics will only increase as fear of layoffs continue. It's a shame. MF ruined HAH. He took away everything. If I wanted to go into a competitive career, I would have chosen sales. Everyone in upper management has lost sight that this job was designed to help people using our nursing skills and pulled resources. Now it's just about the numbers and competing for the top spot. It's sad.

I have come to realize they don't care. We have to complete training for 2.0, but we are expected to meet metrics? I believe the whole department will be on auto dialer soon. That way, you have no control over breaks or anything! You will have to be glued to your seat. Care manager patient relationships will go down the tubes. You will not be allowed to spend extra time with members. At first we were encouraged to support the member, now it's let the 98 year old navigate through claims on their own. Of course, this assures nothing is done in the members best interest. It will all be Humanas best interest, which is saving money. I have so much stress related pain and tension it's unbelievable. The coaches are simply regurgitating what upper management is telling them. I feel like im in a cult!! This has become a horrible company to work for. I have been nursing 20 years and I have never experienced anything like this is my life. I don't knownwho to blame, but upper management should be ashamed of themselves. I don't know how these people sleep at night.

Nothing is consistent across the board I switched from one team being able to combine my lunch and breaks to another team saying it's not allowed. How and why?!?!? I can't even change my work schedule to start early. No issues with other teams doing so. Metrics are unrealistic. Majority of workers are stressed when they're not meeting metrics. What happened to Humana's flexibility/ and taking care of there employees. I now believe all this company cares about is Numbers and that's IT. One team is not able to use an hour of there well being time on fridays b/c numbers are starting to drop across the board and he doesn't want this to affect his teams numbers. I was baffled when a coach preferred that u take the whole day off instead of half b/c they didn't want u to mess up your metrics. Really use more PTO b/c u basically want your teams metrics looking excellent and not considering the needs of the employee. I feel like a robot some days...mind u I have a major headache at the end of the day

Your health is more important than this job. As a nurse you have lots options and better opportunities don't let this job kill your spirit . If you get sick or die Humana will just put another body in your place. Humana only cares about their share holders and making money. Is not about quality of care is about the share holders.

I work through lunch and breaks. I dream at night about meeting my quota. If I need to call a member back for a second time in a day over an urgent matter, I hurry due to that call "not being counted"---this is the worst I have ever been treated as a nurse, now new CGX 2.0 and continued "peer average" I am stressed, nervous and about to just breakdown. My coach is changing, have to find out what this coach allows for "flex time", this is nut!
