3par is going to be the death of hpe. They can do alot, but are very buggy and not stable. To go with all that, they are very command line intensive and HPE simply just doesnt have the proper man power to support the product. There are a few in Fremont ad Atlanta that knows the product really well, but just about everyone else is pretty new and has little to no training of the product. It seems like HPE simply thinks as long someone from America answers the calls, that is good enough for the customers, vs having actual trained agents to support the customer. This is going to be a disaster for them soon considering they keep hiring contractors that they may or may not keep to support their storage and servers

If I had to guess, they're going to try and use SimpliVity's accelerator card in 3PAR arrays.
It looks like 3PAR is safe as long as revenue is generated.
Typical.. Kill one of the key money making BU's. Perhaps they're paring it down for a sell off. Honestly, what does HP do anymore in IT? Such a joke.. and that comes from someone who shook Dave's hand at a BBQ.
Anymore move to India
Spinning-disk hard drives are on their way out! If you are in that neck of the woods, start job-hunting ASAP! If you are in NAND-flash-based storage, then HPE looks to be fairly competitive, you might want to weigh your other "quality-of-the-job" factors and maybe hold tight...
Hah... it'll crumble soon. The quality is getting worse and will get even worse with the upcoming layoffs of 3PAR engineers (including me)...
Probably better than servers.
Flash-optimized data storage systems are hot right now, so I don't foresee HPE getting out of that market any time soon. That doesn't mean that they wouldn't "streamline" organizational structures and consolidate roles, so you should always be at least passively looking for another job out there as a Plan B - just in case.
