MH has a preference for SCA. The company is centralizing again and must due to cost issues. Oracle is in big trouble revenue wise as the IT market struggles as a whole. As Oracle has been attempting to become a cloud company this is not the best time for that.
How good is the Boston job market for HW engineers? HW jobs are falling short as I can tell. Lots of competition with new graduates and already laid off engineers. I live in Boston area and am actively looking for a new job. I just moved here a year ago so this is not ideal for my kids in mid school.

Guys is this likely to happen in 2017? Why would they pick BUR to eliminate ? Good thing the Boston job market is rocking ....but I'd prefer to finish out the year here

No this is not HR. look at posts from months ago. I don't work at Oracle but I layed out the steps they would take to cute costs. I said first they move all work from home people into the office next eliminate obvious groups. Then they start cutting seriously in redundant areas then next is consolidations that's what's next. My bet is x86 SCA will survive over Burlington.
This is not an innocent question; it's a heads up from HR so people start clearing out, thus reducing need for severance payments
