Let's be honest. The OSBU should probably be sold....not personal...good business

They are so bad because they are now WCBU...Good ol' boy club, incompetency at its finest. Do not promote within, but bring their buddies over from other companies. It really has become a joke and everyone knows it. Sad, but very true. Hopefully, our new COPC president sees through a lot of the bs and cleans house!

I wouldn't say that it is just OSBU, but a company philosophy shared by many other companies. Train & promote from within, which is fine if you have the right candidates and the right leadership, the problem with COP is that they hire and promote friends or people that are yes men, do without question and can golf really well, kiss as or talk they way around (take your pick) of used car salesmen types) but at the end of the day cannot perform their duties (manage and lead people) or do not know the work or role that they have been tasked to manage. Never mind those complaints from the disgruntled task or worker level of employees the are eventually written off as being incompetent when they are really just frustrated or have given up. in my tenure at COP, leadership at one time use to inspire teams to do better, now it just berates, confuses and misleads working teams.

One solution is to interview or anonymously poll people to find out their true feelings about their manager, (good / bad / ugly) throw in some weightings and remove outliners and you will get a good picture of where the cancer is, then remove it and hire vetted or well seasoned / experienced managers to start inspiring people again.

Just my 2 cents.

Because they're a smaller part of an overall larger problem with COP leadership
