Yes - COP is actually pretty good when it comes to taking care of things like this. Most companies pay nothing if you are not there on the last day of the year, or on payment date.
But, don't expect it to be very good. It was a bad year for many reasons, so Id expect it will be much less than 100% payout, plus also prorated.
Yes you get VCIP. If you were let go in Sept, then you get 75% (9/12) of what you would have gotten if you stayed. It is very fair of the company. I know a guy who was let go from a different company 2 weeks before they paid bonuses; he got zip.
I find it hilarious that they layoff a lot of people...just so they can afford to have a VCIP. They value a bonus more than the families of employees that they laid off in order to receive this bonus.
What about in Canada
I was also laid off last September after 25 yrs, and was told by the contract HR rep that VCIP would be paid to me after prorated!
We shall see!
Not in Canada. they made you sign your VCIP away in your package.
Yes you will get a prorated VCIP for the months you were there last year.
What rating they give for laid off people.
I got laid off but I deserve one rating for all the work I did.
You should get a pro-rated VCIP.
