MAGA!!!
What do you mean tracking IP addresses?
Humana is a Medicare provider, and anything above what Medicare provides is above and beyond. Many of our members want and need more, but it's not on Humana to provide it. The sad fact is that there are limited incomes, limited services in the community, more complex needs and an overall poor delivery system to the citizens here. The veteran cited may have felt that no one cares, and that is a darn shame, given how our systems are.. .but Humana is an insurance company, we can't forget that.
This whole post makes no sense. New CEO? The Election? Tricare? It was Humana at Home and the SNP program that was affected the most, probaby due to the merger and was well planned ahead of time it seems.
In the recent past, mass hirings took place in Cincinnati area depleting hospitals of nursing staff. They wined and dined nurses to come on over and be a part of a fabulous job. It terribly depleted the SW, the RN, LPN, staff everywhere. People left jobs with seniority, pensions in hope of being able to work in an environment touted as positive, fresh, our employees in mind. We were given freedom to work our selves into our positions and encouraged to have teamwork. In a short span, our teams were shuffled like a deck of card and we had to start over. Statements were made that if you did your best, worked for improvement that you may be advanced. We watched as many people did advance who actually did not deserve it, some did. We watched as metrics grew, demands became higher. We watched as bonuses were given one year to all employees and never returned. In that same time frame a new CEO had joined the company and the stakes became higher; many of us worked 10 or more hours a day while being on salary. We still opted to take on more by assisting in training others hoping to be noticed when they were looking to advance people. Usually, this came about by hiring people off the street for the managing positions. These folks did not have a clue about the jobs and it showed. The new CEO worked right away to pad his pocket hoping the ACA would continue. Election changed all that but the CEO found a way to make sure one way or another that he would be getting rich off this whole business. In the mean time, no bonuses except for managers, no letting up on the work load, no true way to 'win'. A meeting called at the end of the day and a mass lay off. Talk about chicken manure. That is how much we mean to Humana. Our members get less and less with their insurance and have to look for other ways to get their surgeries, their meds, their doctor's appts. With copays going up, most have told me they will just quit going. Yes, they choose this because it has become a no win situation and our veterans tell us that no body cares about them any more. Its disheartening. Especially when the company is a big Tricare provider; Military retirement insurance/activated reservists while they are serving their country, Humana is providing their families with quality care insurance. A world war two vet told me this past week, No body cares about us anymore, they have forgotten us. I understand how he feels. You put yourself out there for others, put your own needs last. His sacrifice was and is so much bigger, but I get it.
