We need to take a stand about some of the things that are going to be forced on us. It isn't right. I am looking for another job but in the meantime we can say NO. If we all take a stand we can stop from becoming total robots. HCM's are working 10hr days with no overtime. Unless you want that to be YOU then have the balls to say no to all this. How can we organize? Remember that they have already cut people, they are going to need the ones left to take over all the rosters. We do have bargaining power because of that.

I am a HCC who is laid off so I am out of this high pressure cooker. Unionization would be the only way to correct how Humana has treated us. When I started 3 yrs ago I loved this job and felt like I was really helping people and built relationships with some mbrs who often told me they only answered because they knew it was me. Then my roster was taken away and I was put on AD...everything changed for the worse. And the intense pressure put on us to get more calls...care plans so complicated and had to be perfect or u were threatened with getting fired. People were crying from the pressure and Humana touts Employee Wellness. I am proud to work with such caring hard working employees!! Did u know it is illegal to work over 40 hours and not get paid if u r an hourly employee...how many were doing that...quite a few. I say again being from NYC a union is the only way to protect our jobs!!!
It's true the more you do the more they expect. They literally say if 1 can do it everyone can do it. I am an HCM on dialer the expectations for us are obnoxious and unrealistic. I have 39 mins to review mdat, complete comp and med list, HEIDIS and don't forget the referrals for ICT. If your member has an actual need or needs a translator your screwed, you won't make metric for the day. The only members that this metric works for are healthy members with no needs. I then have 39 mins to document and if you get a an existing CP your screwed! Again quit possible for healthy member but if there are real issues your screwed not making metric! Let's remember this is a SPECIAL NEEDS PROGRAM so basically we are screwed trying to achieve the impossible. Staying late EVERYDAY and some days still falling short of metric even though your 8 hrs ended an hour and half ago because your member was a noncompliant diabetic with wound vac.... totally screwed!!!
How is doing your job brown nosing?
Y'all sound ridiculous just as an FYI
Exactly, stop brown nosing and kissing a-- so you can look like wonder child. ...
Perhaps they aren't overachievers, but better time managers? Stop cutting people down, thinking they're ruining your job for you. That's yours to do, what someone else does with their job is theirs
Um, not to pop your union bubble, but we have no bargaining power, as you state. We can all be replaced. We have no power. We are employees of a corporation in a right to work state
I agree, but overachievers ruin it for the rest of us!!!
